Lesson 10 - The Tabernacle: God’s Dwelling Place

Nov 16, 2025    Rick Carmickle

This week's class, The Tabernacle: God’s Dwelling Place, will take a deep dive into the biblical Tabernacle. The Tabernacle, as described in the book of Exodus, was the portable sanctuary that served as the dwelling place of God among the Israelites during their wilderness journey and early settlement in Canaan. In the life of the Israelites, the Tabernacle was the center of worship, national identity, and divine guidance.  From a theological perspective, the Tabernacle finds its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ. The Gospel of John declares that “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14); the Greek term for “dwelt” literally means “tabernacled.” Join us for this fascinating discussion that connects the dots of Scripture.
