A profoundly influential result of the Reformation was the opportunity for older accepted truths to be reevaluated and debated. After Martin Luther the political, intellectual, and social effects of the Reformation created new challenges for Protestant believers. The heirs of the Reformers found allies and enemies in the world of philosophy, theology, science, and politics. All this gave rise to the changing social structures of society. In this way, the Reformation gave birth to the modern world in which we presently live. In this class, we will discuss how faithful believers met these new challenges
