CHOOSING SCRIPTURALLY QUALIFIED DEACONS
Christ loves the church and gave His life for her (Ephesians 5:25). And
because He loves the church He is most concerned about the spiritual and
moral character of those who care for His people. Thus as a local church we
should also be concerned about the spiritual qualifications of our Deacons.

QUALIFICATION DEMANDS EXAMINATION
The Biblical list of qualifications for deacons are empty words if there is no
required evaluation of the candidate's character. And that is precisely what
Scripture instructs us to do in I Timothy 3:10: "And let these [deacons] also
[like elders] first be tested [examined]: then let them serve..."
