I.   The Examples of Faith (11:4-12; 17-22)

 a.   Faith produces righteousness (Abel).

 b.   Faith produces a life pleasing to God (Enoch).

 c.   Faith produces godly fear (Noah).

 d.   Faith produces obedience to God (Abraham).

 e.   Faith receives strength from God (Sarah).

 f.    Faith reasons that God is able (Abraham).

 g.   Faith looks to God for the future of the family (Isaac and Jacob)

       h.   Faith trusts God for the future (Joseph) 

II.   The Application of Faith (11:13-16).

 a.   They all died in faith, not yet experiencing what they were promised.

 b.   They considered themselves strangers and exiles on the earth.

  i.   We are strangers and exiles from our Home.
  ii.  We are strangers and exiles in our priorities.
  iii. We are strangers and exiles with our message.
  iv.  We are strangers and exiles politically.

 c.   They looked forward and went forward to a better country.
