I. The Day of the Lord
A) What the OT says about this Day is not contradicted by the NT
B) The term can be used with some flexibility
C) The Day is a day of both darkness & light
II. The Day as Darkness
A) The Day cannot begin without the rebellion and the Man of
Lawlessness
B) Key Anti-Christ passages: Daniel 9:24-27; Rev. 11: 7-10,
13:1-9, 19:20, 21; II Thess. 2: 1-12
C) The many names and faces of Anti-Christ
D) The Anti-Christ cannot appear in his final embodiment until
God’s restraint is removed
E) The end of the Man of Lawlessness and the shattering of his
kingdom
III. The Day as Light
A) The Day ushers in a millennial reign of Christ that replaces the
prior kingdom
B) The 1000-year kingdom will be a spectacular referendum on
Christ’s greatness
C) As nations once came to Anti-Christ, now they will come to
Christ to solve their problems, and the world will be changed
in many ways
D) How to stay out of the counterfeit kingdom and get into Christ’s
true kingdom
