Bulletin Announcements for July 13th


UPCOMING EVENTS:

  • The New Peoples Class scheduled for this month has been cancelled. The next one will be on September 21st.
  • AWANA Leaders BBQ Party (also for those who are interested in helping this fall): Wednesday, July 16th at 6:00 pm.  Contact Melissa Graumann. 
  • Attention Home Builders:   Spend the afternoon on July 27th at Dan and Wendy Graumanns!  Come right after church and bring a side dish and swimsuits for the kids.
  • Camp Elim Men’s Retreat:  August 15-17,  speaker, Doyle Roth. This will be an exciting weekend designed just for men—be challenged and equipped to fulfill God’s leadership role for you!.  Registrations are on the Camp Elim table in the foyer.


ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • Camp Elim Carpooling:  We are looking for people who are willing to help with this need. Please call the office if you are able to help.
  • ESL Conversation Club:  Open membership. Drop-in any  Wednesday from 11-12 pm    during June and July to TALK with our international students.   No teaching.   No planning.   Game and question cards provided.
  • Ladies Reminder:  Please fill out and return the Women’s Ministry surveys you received recently. You may mail them or place them in the flowered box in  the overflow room.
  • Three 4 Three Get-Togethers:  Have you completed yours yet?  It will be time to sign up soon!

I.  Instruction Concerning How the Congregation Should Treat its Leaders (5:12-13)

1.  Respect [know] those who labor among you (5:12)

a. Over you in the Lord

b. Admonish you

2.  Esteem them very highly in love

3.  Be at peace among yourselves and with your leaders

4.  Obey your leaders and submit to them (Hebrews 13:17)

5.  Honor your leaders (1 Timothy 5:17-18)

 

II.  Instructions Concerning How the Congregation Should Mutually Treat Erring and Weak Members (5:14-15)

1.  Admonish the idle (5:14)

2.  Encourage the fainthearted (5:14)

3.  Help the weak (5:14)

4.  Be patient with them all (5:14)

5.  A prohibition against personal retaliation (5:15)
